Nintendo of Europe has announced that Rare’s Donkey Kong Country trilogy and Donkey Kong Land trilogy will be releasing on the Wii and 3DS this month! If you recall, the DKC games were removed a couple of years ago from all virtual consoles, likely due to some legal setbacks between Nintendo, Rare and Microsoft. It’s great to see the trilogy coming back! This will also be the first time that the Donkey Kong Land games have been re-released outside of their original Game Boy versions in the 90s. No news yet if they will be coming to North America, but chances are mighty high that they will. Release dates, pricing and official Virtual Console descriptions after the jump!

Donkey Kong Country will be released on Nintendo eShop on 16/10/2014, Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy’s Kong Quest on 23/10/2014 and Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong’s Double TroubleTM on 30/10/2014.
