The Jinjos. Those cute, multi-colored ‘Help Me’ screaming little imps in thr Banjo-Kazooie series. They’re spread across the many worlds of Banjo-Kazooie and Banjo-Tooie and must be sought out and rescued to obtain a much-needed Jiggy. They hide in tall grass, underwater, stuck atop platforms and sometimes have been swallowed by gargantuan fish. They’re often in the most ridiculous of places, but those Jiggies are needed so those ridiculous placed must be tread. In Banjo-Tooie, things got a wee bit trickier with the inclusion of the Minjos.
The Minjos are identical to Jinjos in nearly every way. They share the same appearance, have that same high pitched scream and even mimic the moves of a Jinjo; but Jinjos they are not. Mistake one for the elusive imps your hunting and you’ll quickly find yourself under attack and having to dispose of the evil little doppelgänger. They’re relatively easy to defeat, but if you’re down to your last Honeycomb then you easily find yourself defeated.
There is one solution that I recommend. Any time you see a Jinjo/Minjo, fire an egg at it from afar. If it has any effect upon impact, then you just strategically defeated a Minjo, giving it no chance whatsoever to fight. That… sounds kind of sad, but if Minjo’s could fire eggs I bet they’d attempt to do the same to you, right? Right.
