Rare Xbox 360 Games Available Now On Xbox One Via Backwards Compatibility

Last Monday during Microsoft’s E3 Media Briefing, Phil Spencer announced that Xbox 360 backwards compatibility would be hitting the Xbox One later this year, including both disc and digital versions of the games. For anyone included in the Xbox One Preview Program, some titles are actually available right now, including Rare’s entire 360 lineup sans the Kinect Sports titles. So right now, if you’re a participant in the program you can play Banjo-Kazooie, Banjo-Tooie, Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts, Perfect Dark Zero, Kameo: Elements of Power, Jetpac Refuelled, Viva Pinata and Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise.

If you’re not a part of the Preview Program, you’ll be able to enjoy each of them this Fall once the ‘backwards compatibility’ feature officially launches. Or you can always just purchase Rare Replay which includes all of those titles plus 22 more hit Rare games! I think that would be more ideal, would it not? Here’s the full list of games included in Rare Replay when it launches on August 4th.
