When it was time to show the Sea of Thieves trailer the teleprompter read something along the lines of “Show Athena trailer…”. At the time we didn’t think much of it because it could have been just a placeholder name Microsoft was using during E3 but today the Sea of Thieves mascot Captain Bones confirmed that Athena was really the code name for Sea of Thieves!
